Mcleodganj, also known as “Little Lhasa” due to its large Tibetans population, is a suburb of Dharamshala in Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh. The place is a beautiful blend of British and Tibetan culture. Situated at an elevation of 2,082 m, the town is famous around the world for being the home to the Tibetan spiritual leader, Dalai Lama. Surrounded by nature ,it is sitting in the lap of Dhauladhar Range which gives the place a very calm and quiet aura.
Day 01: Mcleodganj
Sightseeing starts on the first day of tour
After you reach Dharamshala Volvo station our representative will greet you and transfer to the hotel. On arrival, you will check into the hotel and relax for a while. After relaxing for some time, you will step out to visit of Mcleodganj. Visit the attractions like Bhagsu Nag Temple, the His Temple, Naddi, Dal lake, (Holiness Dalai Lama Tibetan Monastery Are closed due to COVID). As the evening comes closer, drive back to the hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 02: Mcleodganj - Triund (2875m) Trek/9 Km
It is a beautiful walk through mixed forests of deodar, oak and rhododendron. Triund is situated on a ridge with a beautiful view of whole Kangra valley on one side and Dhauladhar mountain range on the other. Night stay in a tents at manaa camp 1.5km down from Triund(As a strong measure to restore Triund's ecology, the Himachal government has completely banned over-night camping)
Day 03: Triund – Mcleodganj (2875m) Trek/9 Km
Follow the same route on the way back or a different one from Triund going over a grassy meadow and descend down to Bhagsu Nag and then to Mcleodganj. Over Night Stay at Mcleodganj
Day 04: Mcleodganj
Day for leisure. Post an appetizing morning meal, get ready to checkout from the hotel. Explore Mcleodganj by own in evening you will take a Volvo Bus Stand for back home. You will leave with plenty of unforgettable sweet memories from the tour.
